Six-month old child with a short and bowed forearm. Almost always three is hypoplasia of the thumb. Entire pre-axial part of the forearm is affected in Radial Club Hand.
Radiograph reveals complete absence of radius. The thumb metacarpal and phalanges are also short.
Reconstructive surgery comprises of centralization of carpus followed by pollicization to restore hand function. Soft tissue distraction is aids in centralization of carpus before reconstructive surgery.
